Register rules for paper authors:

(1) Each IMWUT paper should be associated with an IMWUT Author Registration.

(2) IMWUT Author registration can be completed by any co-author of IMWUT papers.

(3) One IMWUT author registration can correspond to one IMWUT paper and one workshop paper.

(4) Companion paper registration (e.g., Workshop, Demo, Poster, Design exhibition, etc.,) depends on the author’s attendance category (workshop‑only or full‑conference; student or non‑student type).

Common Q&A for registration:

Q1: I am the author of two IMWUT papers, may I complete only one full-conference author registration?
A1: Unfortunately, this is not permitted. Per conference policy, each IMWUT paper should be associated to a dedicated IMWUT author registration. As such, two separate IMWUT Author Registrations are required for two IMWUT papers.

Q2: I am a student member. Why is the student discount unavailable for Author Registration?
A2: Per conference policy, every IMWUT paper should be associated with a dedicated Author Registration, which is fixed at the non-student rate. As a student member, you can still benefit from ACM member pricing compared to non-member participants.

Q3: I am from a developing country. Why is the developing country discount option unavailable?
A3: This year, UbiComp/ISWC adopts a flat registration rate without providing CatHEDC discounts to corresponding attendees. This policy has been reviewed and approved by the Steering Committee of UbiComp, as well as SIGCHI and SIGMOBILE leadership. However, the ACM member rates still apply.

Q4: I am an author of a workshop paper and wish to attend the full conference. Which registration category should I select?
A4: Please select the Full-Conference registration type (student or non-student, as applicable). During registration, you will be prompted to provide and link your workshop paper ID.

Q5: Which registration category should companion papers (including workshop, poster, demo, and design exhibition submissions, etc.,) authors choose?
A5: Authors submitting to the companion tracks may register according to their intended attendance window (workshop‑only or full‑conference access), with either student or non-student pricing. Please enter your associated paper ID (if there is) when prompted throughout the registration process.

Q6: My organization requires a VAT-compliant invoice for reimbursement purposes. Can you issue one?
A6: After the registration is finished, an official receipt will be automatically sent by ACM. The conference organization team is not able to provide any invoice to the attendees.

UbiComp/ ISWC

Past Conferences

The ACM international joint conference on Pervasive and Ubiquitous Computing (UbiComp) is the result of a merger of the two most renowned conferences in the field: Pervasive and UbiComp. While it retains the name of the latter in recognition of the visionary work of Mark Weiser, its long name reflects the dual history of the new event.

The ACM International Symposium on Wearable Computing (ISWC) discusses novel results in all aspects of wearable computing, and has been colocated with UbiComp and Pervasive since 2013.

A complete list of UbiComp, Pervasive, and ISWC past conferences is provided below.
