Visa support letters

International registrants should be particularly aware and careful about visa requirements, and should plan travel well in advance. If you require a visa for entry into the US, please send your request for a letter in support of a visa application to our registration chair ( Use the subject line “Ubicomp 2014 Visa” and include your name (as it appears on your passport) and conference registration confirmation number.

Please note that the ACM requires that you have registered for the conference and have a confirmation number before you can be issued with a letter of invitation to support your visa application.

Student registration requires a proof of current student status. E.g. a copy of a signed letter from your institution or PhD advisor on University letter headed stationary, or a copy of a valid student ID, etc.

Cancellations/Refund Policy

Cancellations are accepted until August 15, 2014. Refunds will be made in full less a $100 cancellation fee ($50 for workshop-only registrations or day passes). There will be no refunds issued after August 15, 2014.

Registration Changes & Transfers

Transfer requests had to be made in writing and received by August 15, 2014 in order to be processed. Please send an email to outlining the transfer information.
