Congress Innsbruck

The convention centre Congress Innsbruck, winner of the Best Congress centre 2001 and 2005 ? AIPC Apex Award, is situated next to the gates of the old city centre. Refurbished and expanded in 1995, the centre is an outstanding venue for conferences. Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences (SOWI)

The buildings of the Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences are embedded into the old town of Innsbruck and located right next to the old city park, the Hofgarten, around the corner from the Congress Center. The university buildings, together with business and residential houses, and the Management Center of Innsbruck (MCI) create an open space with views into the park, the city and onto the mountain tops surrounding Innsbruck. The complex was opened to the public in 1999 after a two year construction process.

Information and Communication Technology Park (ICT, Technik West)

The Information and Communication Technology Park is the most ambitious and most advanced technology building in the western part of Austria. On the premises of the civil engineering faculty outside Innsbruck, the technology park was opened in December 2004. On an effective area of over 16?000mē it hosts, besides numerous small IT companies and start-ups, the Institute of Computer Science and the Digital Enterprise Research Institute of the University of Innsbruck.
