Dear colleagues,

We cordially invite you to participate in the workshop on Interpretable, Inclusive, and Immersive Interaction for Ubiquitous AI-infused Physical Systems at UbiComp 2024. We welcome notes and papers that explore the challenges and opportunities in designing interpretable, inclusive, and immersive interactions with ubiquitous AI-infused physical systems, considering their physical exertion, expanding capabilities, and the need for accessible and understandable human-AI interactions.

Submission Guidelines (PCS):

  * Extended abstracts can be up to 2 pages (note) or 4 pages (regular) in length, using the 2-column ACM Proceedings format, excluding references.
  * We welcome note submissions and position papers presenting early-stage ideas!
  * All accepted papers will be included in the UbiComp/ISWC Adjunct Proceedings, which will be indexed in the ACM Digital Library.

Important Dates:

  *   Paper submission deadline: June 17, 2024
  *   Notification of acceptance: July 8, 2024
  *   Camera-ready deadline: July 22, 2024
  *   Workshop date: October 6, 2024

Expected Contributions:

  * Positions exploring novel interaction paradigms, design principles, and frameworks for AI-infused 'physical' systems
  * Artifacts and prototypes showcasing interaction with networked or embedded intelligence in 'physical' systems
  * Case studies and empirical evaluations assessing the interaction quality and user experience of AI-infused 'physical' systems in specific application areas
  * Enabling technologies, platforms, and infrastructures supporting the development of AI-infused 'physical' systems
  * User studies investigating user needs, preferences, and characteristics in interacting with AI-infused 'physical' systems
  * Algorithm Track: To provide research opportunities for junior researchers or those with limited access to facilities, we also encourage notes and regular papers with algorithmic contributions that align with the workshop's scope and objectives, leveraging existing open datasets (open to all open datasets).
