The 14th International Conference on the Internet of Things (IoT 2024) will
take place on November 19-22, 2024, in Oulu, Finland. The IoT Conference is
the premier gathering for visionary and groundbreaking research in IoT and
closely-related fields. It connects world-class researchers with leading
industry experts to steer innovation in multiple IoT verticals (e.g., smart
industry, smart city/urban, smart health, smart environment). Since its
start in 2008, the conference has been backed by strong support from
leading academic institutions as well as industry.
Call for Posters & Demos
The Posters and Demo sessions at IoT 2024 aim to provide a vibrant platform
for showcasing emerging research and innovative applications in the IoT
domain. This opportunity allows researchers and practitioners to present
their early-stage and ongoing projects, facilitating valuable discussion
between presenters and attendees. We are particularly interested in
demonstrations of novel IoT technologies, both in software and hardware.
We encourage contributions from academia and industry alike, seeking
submissions that highlight new scientific opportunities and real-world
challenges in IoT applications. Industry participants are especially
invited to share their innovative solutions and practical implementations.
We are looking for posters that present early findings and preliminary
results. Demonstrations can cover a broad spectrum, including but not
limited to research prototypes, proof-of-concept projects, tool tutorials,
and displays of commercial or custom applications. Topics of interest
include, but are not limited to:
-
Scalable IoT architectures and systems, including interoperability
frameworks and interfaces
-
Edge AI, Intelligent edge and computing continuum applications and
technologies
-
Novel IoT communication technologies and protocols, including 5G beyond
and 6G
-
Sustainability in IoT, including energy efficiency, water and CO2
footprints, battery-less and biodegradable computing
-
Small and large-scale pilots of IoT sensing, signal processing,
actuation and analytics
-
Safety, security and privacy, including predictive maintenance, risk
analysis, and Quality of Service in IoT and Cyber-Physical Systems
-
Digital Twins, databases and data maintenance for IoT
-
Human-computer interaction and interfaces with IoT-enhanced AR/VR/MR,
Metaverse, and Cyber-Physical Systems
-
Large-Scale IoT analytics, real-world IoT deployments, testbeds, and
datasets
-
Transient large-scale networks, including vehicular and other mobile
networks
-
Novel IoT applications in industry and society, including manufacturing,
agriculture, business processes, logistics, robotics, disaster response,
and networked intelligent production systems
-
Business models, design principles, as well as development practices and
processes for IoT systems and applications
-

Notification: September 4, 2024 (AoE)
Paper Camera-ready: September 16, 2024 (AoE)
Submission Information
Researchers interested in presenting a poster or demo should submit an
abstract to the Poster and Demo tracks, formatted as follows.
-
Template: ACM proceedings template
<https://www.acm.org/publications/proceedings-template> (when using the
overleaf ACM template, choose the sample-sigconf.tex file)
-
Paper Title: Put [Demo] or [Poster] as the prefix of the paper title
-
Page Limits: 4 pages including references, appendix, notes
-
Anonymity: Paper should NOT be anonymized
The abstract should be written in English and contain original material
that has not been published or is currently undergoing review elsewhere. It
must be submitted via the EasyChair conference submission system
<https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=iot2024poster>. The submission
length should not exceed four pages and follow the new ACM article template
(double-column). Papers are peer-reviewed by a committee of experts in the
IoT field. Accepted papers will be shared in conference companion
proceedings.
Submissions are expected to be thoroughly copy-edited. Submissions are not
