well and healthy. The IEEE ICESS-2024 Conference was planned to be held in
Wuhan, China, December 13-15, 2024. We will be pretty happy to see all authors
manage to attend ICESS-2024. Please consider to contribute and submit your
original research papers to IEEE ICESS-2024.

INTRODUCTION

-----------------------

The 2024
IEEE International Conference on Embedded Software and Systems (ICESS) is held
in Wuhan, China, Dec. 13-15, 2024 International Conference on Embedded Software
and Systems (ICESS) is a global forum for researchers and developers from
academia, industry, and government to present and discuss emerging ideas and
trends in embedded software and systems. The conference has a broad scope
covering the design, implementation, optimization, and validation of embedded
software and systems in various domains. With the rapid development of high-performance
embedded chips, the computing power of edge devices has been greatly enhanced,
enabling the devices to handle computation-intensive tasks in real time. More
and more artificial intelligence (Al) applications are migrating to edge
computing platforms for ensuring real-time response. The combination of edge
computing and Al has given rise to edge intelligence, which is an emerging
technology that integrates the core capabilities of network, computing,
storage, and applications. Edge intelligence can provide users with
high-quality intelligent services more efficiently by deploying intelligent
algorithms on edge devices closer to users. Compared with Al models deployed on
the cloud, edge intelligence has the advantages of lower power consumption,
shorter latency, higher security, and closer to users. Therefore, edge
intelligence has become a hot research topic in academia in recent years. In
addition, Huawei, Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Cisco, and other major global
enterprises have also launched their layout on this aspect, in order to
accelerate the development of precision agriculture, smart healthcare, smart
city, industrial Internet of Things, and other fields and related industries.

 

The focus of
ICESS 2024 is to publish new research outcomes that are furthering the level of
current research or otherwise contributing to the overall comprehension of edge
intelligence related challenges like Al model deployment, task scheduling,
resource management, smart design and optimization, collaborative
methodologies, and software and systems solutions.

 

IEEE ICESS-2024 is sponsored by IEEE, IEEE Computer Society, and IEEE Technical Committee on Scalable Computing (TCSC). The 2024 Embedded Software and Systems (ICESS-2024) will provide
a high-profile, leading-edge forum for researchers, engineers, and
practitioners to present state-of-art advances and innovations in theoretical
foundations, systems, infrastructure, tools, testbeds, and applications for the
ICESS, as well as to identify emerging research topics and define the future.

 

ICESS-2024
will be hosted in Wuhan. Wuhan is the capital of Hubei Province, located in
central China, with a land area of 8,569 square kilometers. Wuhan is located in
the east of the Jianghan Plain, where the Yangtze River and its largest
tributary, the Han River, meet in the city. The rivers and lakes are
intertwined in the city, and the water area accounts for one-fourth of the
total area of the city. Wuhan has a long history and rich food culture,
attracting a large number of tourists every year.

 

Prospective
authors are invited to submit their papers to ICESS-2024. All accepted papers
are expected to be included in IEEE Xplore and will be indexed by Engineering
Index (EI). The authors of selected best papers will be invited post conference
to extend their contributions for special issues
of prestigious journals to be planned in conjunction with the conference.

SUBMISSION
GUIDELINES

Submissions
must include an abstract, keywords, the e-mail address of the corresponding
author and should not exceed 8 pages for main conference, including tables and
figures in IEEE CS format. The template files for LATEX or WORD can be
downloaded here. All paper submissions must represent original and unpublished
work. Each submission will be peer reviewed by at least three program committee
members. Submission of a paper should be regarded as an undertaking that,
should the paper be accepted, at least one of the authors will register for the
conference and present the work. Submit your paper(s) in PDF file at the

PROCEEDINGS
& SPECIAL ISSUES

All accepted
papers in the main tracks, workshops, special sessions and poster sessions will
be published in an IEEE Computer Society proceedings (EI indexed).



Extended versions
of selected excellent papers will be considered for publication in several
special issues of a number of excellent journals.
