++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Dear Colleagues,

Hope you are well and healthy. The IEEE iSCI-2022 Conference was planned to
be held in Wuhan, China, October 28-30,2022. We will be pretty happy to see
all authors manage to attend iSCI-2022. However, given the COVID-19
pandemic and associated travel restrictions, as the safety of people is of
the highest priority, we know that special circumstances are best handled
by having flexible options, and thus we are offering the option of either
physical presence or virtual participation. Please consider to contribute
and submit your original research papers to iSCI-2022.

-----------------------

INTRODUCTION

-----------------------

With the continuous growth of urban populations, Smart city and
Informatization (iSCI) aim to improve productivity, reduce costs and
resource consumption, and interact with citizens more effectively and
positively while ensuring privacy and security. The development of Smart
City and Informatization (iSCI) is a global and complex challenge involving
multiple disciplines, with major smart areas covering industry, energy,
healthcare, Internet of things, cloud computing, etc.

Among a series of highly successful International Conferences on Smart City
and Informatization (iSCI), the iSCI-2022 conference is the 10th edition of
a forum for engineers and scientists in academia, industry, and government
to address the resulting profound challenges and to present and discuss
their new ideas, research results, applications and experience on all
aspects of smart city and informatization. IEEE iSCI-2022 is sponsored by
IEEE, IEEE Computer Society, and IEEE Technical Committee on Scalable
Computing (TCSC).

The 2022 Smart City and Informatization (iSCI-2022) will provide a
high-profile, leading-edge forum for researchers, engineers, and
practitioners to present state-of-art advances and innovations in
theoretical foundations, systems, infrastructures, tools, testbeds, and
applications for the iSCI, as well as to identify emerging research topics
and define the future.

iSCI-2022 will be hosted in Wuhan. Wuhan is the capital of Hubei Province,
located in central China, with a land area of 8,569 square kilometers.
Wuhan is located in the east of the Jianghan Plain, where the Yangtze River
and its largest tributary, the Han River, meet in the city. The rivers and
lakes are intertwined in the city, and the water area accounts for
one-fourth of the total area of the city. Wuhan has a long history and rich
food culture, attracting a large number of tourists every year.

Prospective authors are invited to submit their papers to iSCI-2022. All
accepted papers are expected to be included in IEEE Xplore and will be
indexed by Engineering Index (EI). The authors of selected best papers will
be invited post conference to extend their contributions for special issues
of prestigious journals to be planned in conjunction with the conference.
