Position Summary:
Rice Scalable Health Labs/Computational Wellbeing Group has a postdoctoral
research position available
in the areas of behavioral and physiological sensing, machine learning, and
human centered computing applications for digital or mobile health.
Applicants should have a PhD in electrical and computer engineering,
computer science, information science, biomedical engineering or behavioral
sciences with experience in working with either human sensing, algorithms
for analyzing physiological or/and behavioral signals, or human-centered
health or AI applications.
Interdisciplinary research interest is a must. The successful candidate
will have a strong commitment to teaching, advising, and mentoring
undergraduate and graduate students from diverse backgrounds.
This position is focused on advancing sensing and intervention technologies
for health, wellbeing, and performance, especially related to developing
novel algorithms for tracking behavioral and physiological markers or
creating new methods and systems for behavior change or intervention.
Any prior experience of collaboration with clinical researchers, human
subject studies, or mobile application development is a plus.
The group is interested in solving issues in the real world and making
technologies available to those who need them by doing a mix of basic and
applied research.
