[Announcements] ACM IMX/TVX workshop with BBC, IRT and ZDF on 'Toys and the TV: Serious Play'

BBC R&D, Children's BBC, IRT and ZDF are hosting a collaborative workshop titled ‘Toys and the TV: Serious Play’ to tackle interaction design and interfaces with respect to the use of the TV by children!



With the advent of connected TVs and connected toys, there is an opportunity to develop exciting novel interaction paradigms and innovative forms of user experiences around how children might view and interact with TV programmes. We have a comprehensive website: http://toys-n-tv.org/



This year, ACM IMX (previously TVX) workshops are being held on the 17th of June in sunny Barcelona, Spain: https://imx.acm.org/2020/



We would like to invite practitioners, designers and researchers to submit a 1-2 page position paper, by email to toys.n.tv at gmail.com. It should containing the following information:



- Author names and bios

- Use cases

- Challenges addressed

- Details of any related research

We will prioritise proposals submitted by authors who can demonstrate a diverse and inclusive perspective.





IMPORTANT DATES



Submission deadline: 17th of February, 2020

Workshop date: 17th of June, 2020



We expect at least one author of each accepted position paper to attend the workshop and the participant must register for the whole of IMX to take part.
